P.E.O. is a philanthropic, educational organization for women. Founded in 1869 as a small friendship society, P.E.O. quickly grew into a diverse, widespread sisterhood with one mission: promote educational and personal growth opportunities for women.

P.E.O. in Idaho began in 1904 with the organization of our first chapter “A”. Now there are 87 chapters in 40 Idaho cities full of loving, caring women of all ages and walks of life eager to assist other women with their education.
Idaho is one of only three states operating a P.E.O. Chapter House, an independent living retirement facility located in Caldwell, Idaho. It has been home to numerous P.E.O.s and their spouses since it’s inception in 1951.
