Chapter CD Helps Kelsey White Become a Nurse

KELSEY WHITE – PCE RECIPIENT  About two years ago Orofino’s Chapter CD helped obtained the P.E.O. Program for Continuing Education grant to help Kelsey White, daughter of Orofino’s Elizabeth Morgan, further her education.  Kelsey enrolled in the nursing program at Lewis Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho.  At least half of Kelsey’s coursework took place while the COVID-19 pandemic put enormous strain on personal contact.

Upon graduation – where she was chosen by classmates to be their speaker – she wrote a note to Chapter CD saying, in part, that “…I can’t thank you enough for all of your support through the past couple of years.  P.E.O. is truly an amazing group of women…”.

Kelsey was hired soon after her graduation to help those stricken with the virus.  She now works in the Progressive Care Unit at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, where, among other things, she provides night shift nursing to COVID-19 patients.
