Idaho State Chapter of P.E.O. Sisterhood

The P.E.O. Sisterhood was founded in 1869 on the campus of Iowa Wesleyan College, Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. It is an international organization which bases its principles on philanthropy, furthering education for women, love and friendship.

The first chapter organized in Idaho was Chapter A, Boise on April 2, 1904. Idaho State Chapter was organized on May 25, 1915 with seven chapters and was the 13th state chapter formed. Today, Idaho State Chapter has 89 active chapters and approximately 4,000 members.
