To the Idaho State Chapter P.E.O.

P.E.O. is a philanthropic, educational organization for women. Founded in 1869 as a small friendship society, P.E.O. quickly grew into a diverse, widespread sisterhood with one mission: promote educational and personal growth opportunities for women.

You can learn more about our unique organization at the official website of our P.E.O. Sisterhood:

P.E.O. in Idaho began in 1904 with the organization of our first chapter "A". Now there are 83 chapters in 38 Idaho cities full of loving, caring women of all ages and walks of life eager to assist other women with their education. Idaho is one of only two states operating a P.E.O. Chapter House, an independent living retirement facility located in Caldwell, Idaho. It has been home to numerous P.E.O.s and their spouses since it's inception in 1951.

Our Sisterhood proudly makes a difference in women's lives with six philanthropies that include
ownership of a women's college, Cottey College, and five projects that provide higher educational assistance.
